Quote challenge – Day 2

It turns out that I have been nominated by not one, but two bloggers for this challenge. Only WordPress has this tendency of classifying some of my genuine comments as Spam, so I missed the comment.

To compensate for missing out the blogger’s tag on day one, I’ll post two quotes today. Since, I love quotes, this works very well for me. 🙂

“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

– Helen Keller

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure , the process is its own reward.”

Amelia Earhart

I have immense respect for both these women achievers. And when I read the quotes, I can understand why they could battle adversities, and become successful.

Life cannot be lived inside our safety cocoon, we need to go beyond our comfort zone, confront our limitations. That’s when the elusive success visits us. All we have to do is make a decision to act, and then follow it through.

I’ve been tagged by Somali, who blogs at Scribble and Scrawl, and theonlysup for the three day quote challenge. Thanks a lot, Somali, and theonlysup for the tag.

Rules for the challenge:

  • Post one your favourite quotes for  3 consecutive days. The quote can be from any book, author, or your own.
  • Tag three bloggers with each post.
  • Thank the blogger, who nominated you.

For my day two, I nominate my blogger friends:

Saru- Now we shall read

Alok- The learning curve

Moon- Footloose Forever

Hope you guys enjoy the challenge!

  3. Hello Kiran,

Amazing quotes from these women, i agree with them fully.

Thank you so much for nominating me. Here are my favorite ones (hope you don’t mind me posting here):

    — Inspiration can be acquired from outside, but one has to be Motivated from within to achieve success.

    — The hardest thing about climbing the ladder of success is getting through the crowd at the bottom.

    — Things don’t turn around automatically, somebody has to take the initiative.
